What is the Best Advice someone has ever given you?
--The best advice someone has ever given me would have to be telling me that communication is the most important thing when it comes to a long distance relationship, they told me that if we can communicate and make it work long distance then we are finally together everything will work out. I'm moving out there soon and I know that if we made this long distance work as long as we have then it's going to be AMAZING living with him.

--My next advice someone has given me has to do with deployment. Deployments are always hard, but they said if you stay busy it will go by faster. The first two months J was gone, I was not staying busy at all and it seemed like he was gone forever, and the days were dragging on. But after those two months I got super busy (School, Soccer everyday (Sept-Nov), working out, and family) but the last 4 months flew by, I didn't know where the time had gone. These two advice have helped me out so much in my relationship.

Whats the best advice you have ever been given?

  2. Communication is def. important. I was in a long distance relationship for almost 2 years with my ex-bf. I was very much in love with him as he said he was with me. Unfortunately he let his Mama and some of the girls that didnt like me gang up against us and turn off his internet and get rid of his long distance. He was a college student with no job so he didnt have a cell phone. Our relationship fell because I had to go all summer not hearing a single word from him, when he went back to college in the fall it was awkard and our relationship fell apart, so most def. communication is something that is very much needed in a relationship. You seem very happy and I'm sure the next two months will fly by and you well get to be with mr. perfect.

  7. Hi Kelsey!
Nice to meet you! Yes communication is key to any relationship! Great advice.

However, another piece of great advice I was told...never move in with someone before you are married. I'm sure others who have actually tried it will say the same.
    Have a great week!

  8. My Dad was deployed (TDY) to Thailand for an entire year when my parents had only been married about 6 years. They learned to communicate so well during that year through their letters (no email back then!), and it has served them well. They have now been married 42 years!
